attic foil radiant barrier. it works! it works really well!
standard insulation works against cold or hot air, radiant barrier works against radiant heat/cold. YOU NEED BOTH!!
made a huge difference in my house.
plus its easy to install and it won't make you itch, its also cheap.

You are right, a perfect attic insulation system combines enough fiberglass insulation or equivalent, a radiant barrier, and adequate ventilation.
